Holistic Healing Methodologies of Ayurveda

Purity is one exemplary attribute of anything on this earth, which when accomplished is bestowed with undying veracity. Purity at home escorts a perfect place of peace to live in; Purity of self ends in an indigenous dwelling source of pure thoughts & actions; Purity at nature escorts a perfect ecosystem and so on. One which attains this purest form of existence will have its presence carved for ages!!! Ayurveda, the purest form of an ancient holistic healing methodology serves as a perfect paradigm to illustrate this fact.

Ayurveda – The perfect striker of balance: Every human being will find himself/herself in the quest to acquire skillful mind, solid physique free from ailments and stress free soul in some part of his/her life. This never ending mission of mankind results in ending up with a wide variety of options, most of which serve to be temporarily fruitful instead of a unrelenting voyage in search of a pure, holistic healing system of medicine. Ayurveda is that one complete approach of therapeutic handling, which focuses on Cure & Prevention with equivalent importance. Ayurvedic healing methodologies include a wide variety of techniques that aim at bringing just the right balance between the human mind, body & spirit.

Holistic Healing approach of Ayurveda: Ayurveda claims that the human body is manifested by the five building blocks of nature, which when convenes with an imbalance due to external forces results in ailments. In Ayurveda, prior to detecting the deformity a perfect study of the individual is done to analyze his/her body type as defined by his/her doshas. Based on this study, the Ayurvedic practitioner proceeds with Panchakarma, which is the process of treating ailments through purification of toxins in the body. This treatment varies with an individual’s unique constitution.

Ayurvedic treatments are provided using Yoga, Aromatherapy, Marma therapy, Nasya therapy, meditation, adherence to a healthy Ayurvedic diet, Abhyanga or Massage therapy with Ayurvedic essential oils that deals with the sensitive points on the body called Marmas. Natural Ayurvedic supplements that encompass intrinsic Ayurvedic oils & herbs play a vital role in treating the patients. All these methodologies of holistic Ayurvedic rejuvenation are used in a well organized manner with respect to the unique attributes of the individuals thus making each one of them distinctively revived with nature. Thus Ayurveda makes itself the most distinct medical methodology when compared to the other existing modern ones.

One more descriptive fact to be shared!!!! Ayurveda is not meant just for those who suffer from ailments; even the healthy individuals can follow an Ayurvedic way of living which includes a healthy diet, holistic meditation, highly beneficial exercise patterns & high end spiritual well being practices to remain fit throughout their lifetime.

I can sense some of your sigh of grief for not practicing this holistic healing approach, as well as some of your sigh of relief for choosing the right mode of treatment well before in hand. Kudos for those who follow this spiritual healing approach in their life and for those who are yet to start incorporating this invaluable essence of nature – ‘No time is a bad time’.

Ayurveda makes you holistic & wholesome when taken whole-heartedly!!!

Ayurvedic Importance of Fragrance and Aroma

Fragrance plays an important role in determining your mood and mood swings are often controlled by sweet smelling odors in the field of Aromatherapy, which is an incredible part Ayurveda. A celebrated book on Aromatherapy states that fragrance can aid in alleviating pain and have a significant impact on your behavior and personality. We cannot disagree with the fact that ‘Odors vest deeply within our minds even after many years’. If you ask me about my memorable fragrances I would tell you the fresh, elite and the exquisite fragrance of red roses that reminds me about my favorite time in my aunt’s garden during my childhood days and the relishing smell of fried potatoes make me feel like being with my Mom. At this juncture, let’s have a look at the Ayurvedic importance of fragrance and aroma in healing mankind.

1. Aroma for complete care: Aromatherapy is one of the significant methods of Ayurveda, which is used to treat the individuals according to their Ayurvedic body types like vata, pitta and kapha. For this purpose, Ayurveda suggests the use of essential oils and the natural aroma of herbs. This is trusted to enhance the function of the brain and promote well-being from within.

Most of the times these Ayurvedic essential oils are applied to the skin or used in some form or the other in which the skin comes in contact with the aroma. Human skin is the effective channel through which the benefits of these aromatic oils pass through the bloodstream making the system hale and hearty. Many researchers have proved that the natural aroma augments the functionality, relieves pain, supports mood fluctuations and revives the human body, which is a part of nature.

2. The healing properties of Ayurvedic essential oils: Ayurveda trusts in nature and any form of healing using nature’s gifts falls under Ayurveda. According to this thought, essential oils are extracted from leaves, stem, flowers, roots, bark or from other parts of a plant and essential oils is the backbone of Aromatherapy that is used to boost physical and mental fitness. There have been instances in which Ayurvedic essential oils are used to treat innumerable conditions and the gentle aroma of a handful of essential oils is proven to enhance the function of heart and blood circulation.

3. Ayurvedic Tea: Nothing other than a refreshing cup of tea with an enriching aroma can give the right start to your day. The three types of Ayurvedic tea according to the individual body types are anti-strain tea, stimulating tea and balancing tea. These teas are caffeine-free and grant you the real freshness while maintaining the right metabolism of your body.

4. Expert Ayurvedic Massage therapy: An expert Ayurvedic massage therapy with the right essential oils can offer you plenty of health benefits. These essential oils are chosen in such a way that they are infused with a heartening and soothing aroma, which would help you chase out stress, depression, fear, anxiety, insomnia, nervous disorders and many more. An Ayurvedic massage aids in revitalizing your mind, reducing muscular pains, relaxing your nervous system, improving the texture of your skin and striking a perfect balance between your mind and body.

Ayurveda is a spiritual medicinal system that has been practiced for more than 5,000 years and if this historical healing art states that aroma has a greater impact on our health, how can we refute it?? Try using any of the above mentioned ways to experience the power of a natural fragrance.

Ayurvedic Pledge On The Constitution Day

Hurray! It’s Constitution Day and Citizenship Day and time for keeping all your illness at bay. It is the Constitution’s 225th year and as a proud and patriotic citizen of the United States, I feel great to look back the way that the Constitution has changed the history of US. As most of us know Constitution day is celebrated on September 17 since 1787, when the United States Constitution was signed at the time of the Philadelphia Convention. Every year people of US are invited to observe the Constitution week from September 17 to September 23 especially in schools, churches and few other appropriate places with the most suitable bustles and ceremonies. I can read the doubtful rays on your face now, which says ‘Everything about Constitution day is ok…but what is the relation between Ayurveda and Constitution day? And first of all what is an Ayurvedic Pledge?’ I always love explaining things in a simple way and have a strong reason behind everything I say.  Look for those valid reasons as your eyes surf through the content below.

I still remember the special Constitution day when my school was delegated to take up the Constitutional celebration. Each one of us will have our own favorite Presidents and special reasons for retaining them as our favorite. My favorite President is James Madison, Jr. He was the 4th President of the United States and is called as the ‘Father of the Constitution and the Bill of Rights’ but for whom the US Constitution would have failed to succeed. He was the oldest of the twelve children of his family and had lot of struggles and values in his life left behind for most of us to learn. Constitution day is a memorable day to think about the glory, achievements, struggles and difficulties of our admirable leaders, which will help us to lead a determined life filled with their inspiration.

I would suggest you to take up a pledge or an oath on the Constitution day just like your New Year resolution to do something that would benefit you as well as your society. This year, let your pledge be all about practicing the spiritual healing science called as Ayurveda. This ancient medicinal system has innumerable benefits to your health physically as well as emotionally, helping you to mold yourselves as a perfect individual.

Ayurveda is an intimate ocean for those who already knew about it and for those who are new to this concept; I would rather say that you have missed a miraculous healing method in your past.  This holistic healing method treats the human body as a place of worship, which influences one to keep the body, mind and the environment clean and hygienic for your spirit to live in genially. Ayurveda respects every person and their specific feelings as it believes that every human being is a unique creation. It identifies the individual body types and treats you completely as an individual instead of just treating your illness alone. It aims at treating your sickness initially and proffering you the real strength from within to prevent it in the future.

With Ayurveda, you will soon realize that you have already started to lead a systematic life with appropriate time for everything, right from the time you wake up till the time you go to bed. It suggests the healthy practice of taking a balanced diet with regular physical exercises, focused meditation, habitual yoga practices and natural remedies like plant extracts, Ayurvedic essential oils and much more. Take this Constitution week as the trial week for taking up the Ayurvedic way of living, I am sure you will never regret later. As the Constitution changed the history of US, undoubtedly Ayurveda will change your lifestyle in a dignified manner.

Best wishes for your sparkling days ahead with Ayurveda and happy Constitution week. Let’s take the Ayurvedic Pledge now and say together ‘We the People’ of US ‘Let’s be the People of Strength’ with Ayurveda.
